Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy (CBT) sessions

Here is what to expect from the CBT process

Initial consultation and assessment

In order to know whether I am the right therapist for you and in order to answer questions you might have, we start the CBT process with a short consultation call.

If everything is fine, the first session will be an assessment session. Don't worry, this isn't a test of any form, it's just to explore more about you and the problems you're facing; and to assess if CBT is the right type of therapy for you.

Core sessions

Following a successful assessment, we'll begin our core CBT sessions. This will typically be six to twelve sessions where we will dive deep into the problems you are facing and how best to tackle them; using scientifically and clinically proven techniques.

Each week we'll monitor your progress in the hopes of securing positive results and see where that takes us.

Please note, at this moment in time, all sessions are being offered online and not in-person.

Wrapping-up

Once we complete the core sessions, we'll have a debrief and discuss the outcomes of therapy.

In most cases, the sessions offered would have addressed the issues you initially came in with and it's about maintaining all the lessons learnt throughout the process.

If further sessions or other types of treatment are needed, we can discuss this too.

Group CBT sessions

If you're looking for group CBT sessions, this might be for you!

CBT sessions don't always have to be one-on-one, group sessions can also be very effective in treating mental health problems. Participants often find it helpful to meet others who live with similar difficulties as they can help each other and share their experiences.

If you're interested in group sessions, here are a few things to know:

- The group and it's participants should already exist
- The management of the group will be done by yourselves
- The sessions will be tailored to groups rather than individuals,    therefore it'll be more generic

Clinical supervisions

For my fellow professionals!

Clinical supervisions are a very important part of the therapy profession, for both beginners and more advanced practitioners. Supervision can be useful when working with a client who has an issue you're unfamiliar with, identifying blind spots, exploring dilemmas or for getting advice on trying new techniques.

If you're a fellow therapist and are in need of a clinical supervisor, please do get in touch.
